The Stratford Recreation Association Social Committee plans social events throughout the summer dedicated to providing opportunities for members to build relationships within the community. The events for each fiscal year are selected and budgeted for by the Social Committee.

The SRA Social Committee is currently planning some great events for this summer. Events have been designed to preserve the long-standing traditions that many families have enjoyed for years, while adding some new events and themes.

May 27-29 Sat-Mon Memorial Day Weekend Opening Weekend
June 2 Friday 3:45 pm Preschool Popsicle Party Free - Bring your preschoolers and enjoy popsicles and music by the pool! While supplies last!
June 9 Friday 6-8 pm PAVILION RESERVED - Swim Team Pasta Feed
June 10 Saturday 5-7 pm Back to Pool Night Free - Socialize with SRA's newest members! Meet the Board, enjoy poolside games and contests, and get ready for a great summer! Chalkboard Wings and BBQ will be onsite serving up delicious food (additional fee).

June 23 Friday 5-7 pm Fun Friday - Float Night and LIVE MUSIC Free - Get out those floats and relax in the pool! (Children must be accompanied by an adult). Chalkboard Wings and BBQ will be back serving up delicious food! Featuring Live Music by the Porch Pirates.
June 24 Saturday 7-11 pm Riverside Gardens/SRA Mixer (21+only) $20 presale / $25 at the door - Riverside Gardens is hosting the most epic party in 22308 this year! Join our friends from Riverside Garden. Register here.
June 30 Friday 5-7 pm Fun Friday - Float Night Free - Get out those floats and relax in the pool! (Children must be accompanied by an adult). We will have hotdogs, hamburgers, and sodas available for purchase if we have volunteers to man the grills and Shark Shack. Stay tuned for more details.
July 4 Tuesday All day Independence Day $16 for ages 5+ Under 5 Free - Celebrate Independence Day at our Family Fourth of July Party! Enjoy family-favorite games in and out of the pool. Our talented Volunteer Chefs will be serving up hamburgers, hot dogs, sno-cones, and other treats. DAY-OF TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE HERE.
July 14 Friday 5-7 pm Fun Friday - Floats and Family Night Free - Grab those floats and head for the pool! July 15 Saturday 7-11 pm Low Country Boil (21+ only) $65 - Join us for this annual SRA Tradition! Delicious crab, steak, southern sides, signature drinks, and more highlight this unforgettable evening. Bring your suit for a late-night swim under the stars! July 20 Thursday 6-8 pm Wine Tasting and Food pairing with Cedar Knoll (21+ only) Join us for an evening of wine tasting and small bites with Cedar Knoll! This neighborhood gem will be bringing a variety of wines and delicious appetizers to enjoy! Register here by noon on Monday, July 17.

September Sat-Mon Labor Day Weekend Final Weekend
Sept 23 Saturday 1-5 pm SRA Oktoberfest $15 for 21+ Under 21 Free for members. Guest admission is $15 and $30 for Biergarten tickets . PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED - Join us for the third annual SRA Oktoberfest! This event features fun and games for the whole family including a bounce house, carnival games, a Biergarten, and Bavarian-inspired food. Participation is free but registration is required, sign up and purchase Biergarten tickets here. Volunteer here.
PAVILION RENTALS FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS
Starting Monday May 22, 2023, you can request half of the pavilion area to be reserved for a two-hour block by SRA members for private parties during normal pool hours. The pool will not be closed to other members during your party. Like always, the grills can be used on a first come, first serve basis; glass is not permitted. No helium balloons inside the pavilion, or any other items that may inadvertently cause costly damage to the facility. No rentals during Opening Weekend.
Cost to reserve the space is $50 (non-refundable). The host will be expected to have enough guest tickets in their MemberSplash account to cover entrance to the facility for non-members of their party. Members are responsible for their guests following the rules & regulations of SRA at all times. Requests for pavilion rental with an expected attendance of a certain size (25+ people) requires pre-approval by the SRA Board, as to ensure adequate life guard staff will be scheduled. Requests are typically responded to within one week of the application being submitted. The Office Manager will not check for requests until the first work day, Saturday May 27th.
