SRA FAQs

Thank you for your interest in the SRA!  Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about the Association.   

Where can I find the SRA By-Laws and Rules?  The SRA By-Laws and Rules (and other information) can be found in the Resource Center

When are the annual dues due?  In March a newsletter is emailed to members with a reminder that the annual dues are due by April 1st.  Checks payable to:

Where can I get a Membership Application?  Membership Applications are available in the Resource Center.  Please contact the Membership Coordinator if you have any questions. 

When does the pool open/close?  The pool opens on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and closes Labor Day.   The hours of the pool, once school is out, are 11am-9pm M-SA and 11am-7pm on Sundays. 

What are the tennis court hours?  The tennis courts are available during regular pool hours.  Please check the calendar for blocked times for tennis lessons, tennis team practices and matches.

What facilities are available at SRA?  SRA has a recently renovated pool which includes a zero-entry shallow end with bubblers at the entrance.  There is a fenced in baby pool with covered area.  There is a pool house with showers, restrooms and changing area.  The concessions area has covered seating and tables along with vending machines.  It is also the area used during Family Nights and swim meets for grilling hamburgers, hot dogs and serving other food.  Members may use the grills when not in use for family nights. There are four tennis courts available for members to use when there are no lessons, team practices or matches taking place. 

What types of activities does SRA offer?   SRA has a wide variety of activities for people of all ages.  We offer swim lessons for young kids, swim and dive team for older kids and junior tennis team.  We have several social functions throughout the season, some for the family and some for adults.  And on select Tuesday and Thursday nights, we have Family Night when you can purchase hamburgers and hot dogs and enjoy dinner with your family at the pool. 

What are pool clean-up days?  Pool clean-up days are held on Saturdays and Sundays in the spring and are an opportunity for members to earn 20 guest tickets.  Each member is asked to work 3 hours to help get the pool and facilities ready for opening day.  Previous tasks have included cleaning the bath house and office, weeding, painting, setting up chairs and tables, etc.    

What is Sunday Adult Swim?  Every Sunday during the season, the pool and grounds are open only to adults 18 and older from 11:00am - 1:00pm.  Coffee and donuts are provided.  It is a nice, quiet time for adults to socialize without children in the facility. 

What is the Guest Policy?  Members are allowed to bring guests to the pool, but they must be accompanied by you, the member, at all times.  Once you use all of your guest tickets, you must pay the guest fee of $5 per person for each guest.  Children under the age of 3 are admitted free.  Immediate family members (mothers, fathers, children, grandchildren) who do not live in the SRA boundaries are admitted for free.  Family members who live within the boundaries must join SRA themselves. All guests who live within the boundaries of SRA are required to use a guest ticket for admittance to the pool. Members 16 and under will be allowed no more than 4 guests without an adult.  Please see the SRA Rules and Regulations for the full policy.

Is the pool available for parties?  The pool and pavilion area can be used by members for birthday parties or other group parties during normal pool hours.  It will not be closed to other members during your party.  Reservations are made through the office staff. There is form to fill out and a $50 deposit that will be returned if the area used is cleaned at the conclusion of the event.  Members provide their guests with guest tickets or pay guest fees.

How do I check-in when I arrive at the pool?  When you arrive at the pool, give the office staff your membership number (found on your SRA certificate) or type it into the key pad.  The office staff confirms who you are and you are good to go.  If it is your first time signing in, the office staff will take a picture of you and your family members to have in the computer for identification purposes.  This is especially important for the safety of those members who have children who are of the age (over 10) that are allowed to come to the pool on their own. 

We are renting a house in the SRA boundaries, but would like to join the pool.  What do we need to do?  You must first contact your landlord to see if they are a current SRA member.  If they are members, the landlord must pay the annual dues, then you can reimburse them directly.  There is a form the landlord must fill out with your family contact information which will be entered into the SRA database so you may use the facilities as regular members during that season.  The form can be obtained from the Membership Chair.  If your landlord does not have a membership, you need to apply for your own membership.
